..but dance!
For those of you that don’t know, when I’m not perusing the fashion magazines and various blogs, snapping photos, or hitting the books, I tend to dance…a lot. Pretty much everywhere. My love of dance is tied to my love for the style/music scene, which is no surprise really because all of these go hand in hand. This post has nothing to do with the latest trends, but nonetheless still worth showcasing. =)
Aside from enviable dancer physiques, I figured I’d share these inspirational pictures with you all. One of the dancers that I used to dance with in a group in Boston sent a mass email link for us all to appreciate. Here are a few..well actually many..shots of dancers being photographed all around NYC, incorporating dance moves into day-to-day routines. If everyday was a dance routine or a musical number, I’d probably wake up excited every morning. =)
Enjoy everyone!

As per usual, I have been lagging. Sorry for the delays but you know how it is with school, work, and play =). Once summer rolls around, I’ll be posting religiously.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock these days, it isn’t news that the Coachella Music Festival was this past weekend, and boy am I excited to see all my favorite blogs posting their looks and, naturally, to see videos of various performances being posted all over Youtube and my lucky friends’ Facebook profiles. It’s great to see all the new trends being showcased from High-Low dresses and skirts to mixed textures and patterns to Kimono floral prints and Aztec pieces.
I haven’t been fortunate enough to attend Coachella yet, whatwith being in Boston for school and working part-time at LF. If you haven’t seen some of the Coachella fave LF looks already, definitely check the website: http://lfstores.com/
It’s been so lively these past few weeks at the store whenever I come into work, with everyone coming in to get styled in music festival outfits, and I’ve been seeing various LF pieces and looks in the photos that have come out so far. Next year around this time, I’m making it a point to go..no if’s, and’s or but’s!!
Anyhoo, I’m back for the time being, and here are a few various shots I’ve seen so far of Indio, California happenings and random pictures I’ve compiled of music festival-inspired things, courtesy of various blogs and the Refinery29 website. Commencing the snapshots with some Coachella-inspired looks from the LF lookbook. Enjoy =)

It’s “spring-cleaning” here at LF, or should I say “fall/winter” cleaning with our end of season sale, and already we’re prepping for warmer, happier times and a more lively palette of colors…and a Minnie Mouse headband??
No need for descriptions. This line should speak (and sell) for itself:
…and of course, LF wouldn’t be LF if we didn’t have a litte bit of Jeffrey..Jeffrey Campbell that is. Another sneak preview at our partner-in-crime’s new Spring/Summer Collection:

..in our big big closet! Enough said.
For those of you that don’t already know, I’m a clothing stylist at LF stores. So when I’m not in a lecture class, a library cubicle, or running around snapping pictures with my Nikon D90, I’m playing dress-up on Newbury Street. I’ve been in love with this store and its clothes for forever, because no matter what style you are, I know I can find you at least 4 items that are suited to you.
Anyways, it’s the official start of our only sale of the season (doesn’t come around that often here =]) this weekend, and in typical blogger fashion I’m pounding my macbook keyboard, hoping you’ll see this post to come on into an LF store near you. So, make my morning and come find me in a pile of clothes!
But seriously, though. Leather jackets, originally $700 down to $250 or less? You can’t really go wrong with that. Come play dress-up with me and the LF girls here on Newbury Street…or any other LF store near you. It’s a fun weekend to stay warm and be surrounded by mounds of clothes, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, and stylists scurrying around the store to find you just what you want (me, included).
Best be seeing you during your study breaks.

Diplo.vs.Alexander…
February 3, 2011
..Wang, of course…?
…Yeah. I was a bit stunned myself to find that Diplo, well known American DJ, producer, and songwriter is now posing for Alexander Wang’s new Spring 2011 Collection for T by Alexander Wang. I guess it shouldn’t come as much of a shock that Diplo would add spokesmodel to his resume, considering he’s just as much of a household name as any other name in music entertainment (Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and of course MIA whom he is most famous for collaborating with…just to name a few).
American DJ meets high fashion? Well..why not?
Being part of a generation of teens and young adults who listen to techno, house, dubstep and so on (I mean, have you heard Britney Spears’ new single?), it should come as no surprise that DJs have achieved such high profile statuses, equivalent to that of singers, rappers, and actors…even moreso nowadays. They’re all entertainers and as such, thrive on posing for, collaborating with, and even becoming an integral part of well-known, high-end designers’ clothing lines.
So, cheers to you Diplo, and I’m waiting for some new tracks to dance my heart out to.
P.S. hello again fellow style bloggers and lovers. and Happy 2011

For those of you that don’t know, I’m hugely into photography however amateur I am. When I’m not overloaded with work and the usual undergrad stresses, you’ll probably see me snapping away pictures all over Boston and at home. I’ll be flipping through magazines, looking at my favorite blogs of photo shoots and such.
So it should come as no surprise that I appreciated this particular shoot for the line, Desert Fox in the stylestalker lookbook:
Snakebite.Leggings, $239
Sand.Dune.Tank, $159
Sun.Flare.Skirt, $119
Snakebite.Leggings, $239
Desert.Rose.Dress, $139
Snakebite.Dress, $129
I’ve always been a fan of lines mixing feminine and tough (think my luv.AJ post), and this photo shoot has just the right amount of both, from the doe-eyed model to the snakebite dress..to the subtly, seductive white strapless, skintight mini as the model leans against the side of a motorcycle, down to the lace-up leggings that scream “don’t mess with me”.
Check out the style stalker website for more looks of the Desert.Fox on stylestalker.com

All.Hail.McQueen
November 16, 2010
Poring through my usual fashion website subscriptions, I came across a collection in my Refinery.29 updates that caught my eye: a collection that concluded the last of a designer genius, who in the short span of a decade, created such beautiful and innovative designs of women’s high fashion..putting himself among the ranks of internationally known, household fashion designers, who have been known for, well, a little bit more than just a decade. Think CHANEL. Think Balenciaga.
The late Alexander Mcqueen, British designer and couturier, was a talent who is, and will surely still be, missed for years to come in the fashion world.
An all-time favorite look of mine from McQueen, worn by actress and style icon, Camilla Belle:
I figured I’d share a few of the pieces in his final collection for you if you hadn’t seen them already, courtesy of Style.com:
A line true to his usual theme of female strength and sensuality. A line clearly fit for royalty and fit for McQueen.

As always, I’ve gone MIA for a bit, but now that I’m back in the good ol’ Bean, and settled back into the swing of school, work, and play, it’s most definitely time for a fancy.that update.
